Theresa is a wife, mother of five daughters and two stepdaughters and friend to many. She and her husband David live in Wisconsin where they enjoy spending time with their family, two dogs Maggie and Jake and cat Jenni. Theresa is an artist and a writer, and spent years working as a business analyst for the State of Minnesota Dept of Human Services. She has also enjoyed many years as a runner, competing in road races and marathons with her husband and daughters. In October of 2008, after running the Twin Cities Marathon, Theresa came down with an unexpected illness. In the weeks and months that followed, Theresa’s health continued to decline and by February of 2009 she had begun a long journey of continual hospitalizations. In August of 2009 Theresa tested positive for a number of autoimmune diseases and by early fall received diagnosis of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Sjögren's Syndrome and Rheumatoid Arthritis. This blog is dedicated to the friends and family that created the original Friends of Theresa web site, and to all those who have joined along the way. If you are interested in contacting Theresa directly, you can do so through email at firstname.lastname@example.org .
